Fortunately I'm aware of the danger and only pick those I am absolutely certain about.
Wild asparagus is one. One easily identified mushroom is another.
I'm good at identifying burdock and a couple of others I don't know the English name of.

Honestly, you have full empathy. Broodiness here is spreading like a rash.
I can hear the hens from Tribe 2 wandering around clucking and swearing at everyone from here. I dare not go out in case I'm assaulted by a gang of irate wanna be mothers.

There are edible plants growing wild. My plant knowledge isn't very good though.
