BYC Café

Ah darn we have wood brought we pay 150 a cord use about 4 a year
but better than a 600 electric bill for 2 months
That's a great price for a cord. I pay $170.

Will they come down? That's a great perching tree. I can't blame them.
Yes, they come down when I call them for supper and then they'll go to roost in their coop.
It took a while to get them to do this and each new generation learns to do the same by watching their seniors. I have had a couple of recalcitrants over the years.
One in particular turned being fetched out of the tree a regular routine; 5 or 6 years worth of regular routine if my memory serves me.

Good morning Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee Perris, particularly given it's an Italian blend. I'll run out of Italian coffee in the near future.
I've made another pot for those East coast and European visitors.
Lots of sunshine here this morning and warm at 22C.

Good morning, Cafe and thanks for all the coffee, Perris and Shad. I'll try a cup of that Italian blend.

I candled Kerrie's clutch last night and to my exceeding inexperienced eye they all look alive with the exception of maybe one. Because I wasn't sure, I stuck it back under her. It had lots of veins and a larger air sac but I couldn't detect any movement.

She's got a week to go.

Morning and thanks for the wonderful coffee! It was snowing again when I woke up :th just a dusting overnight, but I see blue sky and no clouds coming our way.

Almost 70 F by Thursday? I think heat-stroke is my next complaint!
My back is stiff but it will work out with movement so not bad for a day's chainsawing and all of the stacking and dragging fun that goes with it.
Guess what? The wrestling mat came yesterday! DS$ is so happy. A 10x10 practice mat to go with the throwing dummy (FedEx dude had something to say about getting bodies :lau)
and a real jump rope and an ab roller work out thing. This weekend we start on building a
starplate dome to house the stuff because DH can not handle the noise or the chaos that comes with a wrestling set-up in the house. I am going to assume that the panic will be back come this winter and so we will not be caught without a place to practice again.
Thankfully, the weather gods are smiling on us for this project and it should be up in no time. I have enlisted the help of a dad (in construction) whose son is a wrestling teammate and also lives near here and will be using the "Wrestling Room!"
