Speaking of Valentine's Day, here's a true story:

About this time or year, 12 years ago, my hubby (before he was my hubby) and his boss were working in my building at work. I had been eyeing him for a couple of weeks. One day I told them to be sure not to forget Valentine's day, and to get their wives something lovely.... *wink, wink*... He proceeded to tell me he didn't have a wife.

So our first date was Feb 20, 2004, and we've been inseparable since.

Please don't hide candy under the couch if you have pets. Many years ago we came home to find our dog missing. The house was all locked up and we just couldn't figure out how she could escape. Turns out, she was hiding behind the couch all

trying to eat the candy as fast as she could. She didn't show the slightest bit of regret (that we found here.)

We didn't know then chocolate could kill a dog. She was mini sized but, all that was left in the box were caramels that my mother hated (why didn't she throw them out?) We think that saved her life, first the chocolate were milk choc. and secondly caramels take a lot of chewing and only a little chocolate as topping. She was belching and drooling when we hauled her out of there. Luckily she just had diarrhea for a day or so.

Oh for your eyes only - I do not like jewelry, furs, cruises, a cute card with usually a pug, or cocker, or cute puppy wins me over, and some token gift of ice cream OR a trip to Baskin Robbins for a small sundae. I am cheap to keep.
