How is it possible to have 26F in May!!
It's already down to 40. No heat at Dad's house. I'm getting rained on and my fingers are numb.
I'm changing out the coach and yard lamps.

I will be staining the shutters black.

I tried the penetrating oil and coax it out approach with the rusted screws. When the second one snapped I resorted to the man approach and bashed it off with a hammer and screwdriver!

I'll be painting the gold colored knobs black.

Stuff like this always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. It's the ground wire but still...

First class electrics.
Have you ever tried an impact driver? I used to have one and for some stuff they work really well.
Lamps look better. Never been much on gold paint.

Fried wires are scary for sure!

I'd love an impact driver! But I can't justify it right now.
The lamps are an inexpensive upgrade. The house is big and the fixtures were the wrong color and undersized for the scale of the house. Little things like this help sell houses.

I should take a trip up there. It's a lovely part of Catalonia.
Don't forget the pictures!!

and lilac
Our lilacs are JUST starting to put out tiny leaves. I let the girls out today to forage under the lilac hedge. They were happy.

Anybody have any Dr,Pepper? I ran out this morning.
I have about 24 cans but I don't know how I could get one to you before tomorrow.

I will be off to homedepot soon to pick up a window AC. Hopefully it will not be busy!
It will be, you've been really hot (UNLIKE here!) so lots of people will be looking at the A/C units. Hope you find one you like.

There seems to be a lot of frost back east!
Yep, most every night it seems through at least next Thursday. High tomorrow? 39°F. Oh, and wind gusting to mid 30's all day. Maybe I'll stay inside other than for animal chores.

Easy! At least here, our presumed "last frost" date is the end of May

That looks like a lot of corrosion on the spring in the cap!!! I wonder what the others look like,

I replaced them. Not as much corrosion. The old lamp had been dangling from it's wires for years so rain was dribbling down the wires directly into the nuts. I cut and restripped the wires before wiring the new lamp then taped them up before installing it on the post. The new lamp has a proper rubber washer to seal the finial.
