I had put her in time out this morning because she was beating up on Darcy, our copper Maran. She was in a shady spot in a wire kennel on grass. An hour later, the sun was getting over the kennel so went to check on her and move her and she was dead. No feathers to suggest an attack.
That's sad. Was she old?

I had one die like that from a ruptured liver

There is thread here on necropsy to do your own but some will some won't this is just information not suggesting do or don't
Yes! wither kiki or casportpony I think.

It is easy to see if it was a liver rupture or a heart attack

That came up when my attorney found the other deed restriction filed for mom's new property: No Chickens Allowed!! I laughed out loud when I read that.
I wonder why that is. Of course I wonder the same about the 8 house neighborhood up the hill. Restrictions specifically allow camelids and forbid poultry. Not just a "max of 5, no roosters" clause which is common in cities (and we are in a fairly rural area).

Undeterred, they are trying to rebuild, and it would be nice if they can get some better mud this time round.
Mybe you could provide them with a nice mud puddle??

No way should it be raining as much here and temps below 20C!!!
I had the stove going last night.
20°C is 68°F. That is warmer than we keep our house in the winter!

Yikes, that's too bad about the rain! 92° sounds nice, though.
No, 92° does NOT sound nice, it sounds HOT!

At any rate, I'll be taking her to the bank to get the two bank certified checks and left her with a list of 7 personal checks she needs to write.
9 checks??? Who the heck is getting all these checks?

They are really wonky and I'll have to start prying one off to see how to get the house framing squared away on those walls. I may just remove both windows that area currently separated by an exposed support stud reframe the openings with headers to a standard mulled window pair.
Have you considered that the foundation might be suspect if the windows are that off?

I've had several die of fatty liver disease. They just drop where they are standing, at least they don't suffer. I did necropsy's on 3 of them and don't bother anymore if they die that way, pretty sure it is FLD. I don't know what a heart attack would look like in a necropsy.
