Cheaper than Illy no doubt! Lavazza is about £4 for a 225g bag here, which makes it significantly more than domestic brands, for example, but I don't even look at the Illy anymore - my taste buds aren't worth itit's still the cheaper stuff.

I dare not ask how much the Illy is that my daughter sends me. I just say thank you and enjoy it.Cheaper than Illy no doubt! indeed there are. I like trying new-to-me whatever, so we've tried lots over the years, and most are decent or better. But Lavazza have kept the fine grinding that is better for filters, unlike most of the other firms here, who decided to stop making separate grinds for filters and cafetieres and produced something that supposedly suits both. It might suit their cost base, but it does not suit filters; it's too coarse to get the flavour in the time the water takes to flow through it. So as that business practice spread across the ground coffee business, we found ourselves more and more restricted to Lavazza. There are plenty of very good coffee brands
How are the Lost Boys Peter?I knew there had to be some advantages to being male.View attachment 2216208
