We had some rain yesterday as well. Two more days of decent chances. DS@ is home for a couple of days and then back out on the fires. We will have lunch with him today and hear the stories. I hope the Cafe has a great day and thanks for the coffee!

It is cooler here with highs in the 90s. The lows are very nice though.

The big fires are still only in the 30% contained range

Good morning Café. Thanks for the coffee.

Today is going to be very nice and this time I'll get to enjoy it while working at mom's.
I've been debating running Bella. The dew claw toe with the snapped off nail is swollen and she's been licking it. But she's also been frantically pacing the house because I didn't run her yesterday. She's positively bursting with energy. I think I'll have to take my chances to try to burn some of it off and hope I don't make the toe worse.

Can you put vet wrap on it?

. . . . and now, it appears there is a fire at a chemical plant in Lake Charles, too. Hurricane aftermath - not always what you think it is.

Bella reminds me often just how smart she is.
Every other Doberman I've ever had would have ripped and torn around the fields like a maniac and then paid for it later by limping because of the sore toe. Not Bella! She very cautiously jumped out of the car and loped around instead of running full tilt. She was very sedate but thoroughly enjoyed her excursion yesterday and this morning. I'm keeping an eye on the toe for infection and see no signs. She seems to be managing herself extremely well.

Do you have to wait for a plumber to install it?

Nope BF installed the one at the old house that was natural gas ..
He will do this one install will go under the deck to protect it but 5 feet from the tanks and water connection

Here we have to get a permit to work with natural gas and a licensed installer has to do the work.
The install is 2 or three times the cost of the water heater.
