Yesterday when we got back from Wilkes-Barre and before I saw the beginning of Bella's issue, I saw Wren behind the brooder run and I called out to her. The entire rest of the flock came running and flying out from under their bush at the sound of my voice because they were hungry. It reminded me of this...

due to the round rungs
have you got tough-soled footwear such as hiking boots to ease the pressure while you're on the job?

I see your
fungus type thing eating away the roofs of a couple of the coops
and raise you ivy and brambles eating the shed in the paddock we just bought

I think Skittles is now having digestive issues. He sleeps next to me all night and I keep waking up to him shaking so much he's nearly vibrating because he has to go. This last time I also woke up to Bella throwing up bile on the floor. So I put both dogs out through the sliding doors off the kitchen.
Bella perked her ears, raised her hackles and tensed up as soon as she stepped on the deck, then growled, barked and took off like a shot at the big black bear that was standing about 20 ft from the house! It got that close without tripping the motion light. I yelled at her and she hit the brakes and came right back to me before she even got off the deck and the bear did a 180 and darted off into the woods.
In the meantime, Skittles just trotted out to the yard to do his business and didn't seem to know what was going on... until he finished and must have caught scent of the bear and proceeded to go after it. Ugh! I yelled at him and he came back too.
I wonder when next I'll have a normal nights sleep.

Oh dear, just what you needed on top.

Did you try the Moro carrot soup? It helps with diarrhea of unknown origin and even antibiotic resistant bacteria.

No, but it sounds interesting to try. I just gave Skittles an appropriate dose of Bella's meds.
I think Bella is vomiting because she is hungry. She really wants to eat. I just fed her about 1/4 cup of boiled chicken and rice. If she can keep that down until it's time for me to leave, I'll giver her 1/2 cup more.

I do not envy you in the least! I bought just over an acre and a half and only 1/4 of it was cleared (basically the yards) I'm down to 1/4 acre left to clear... A bit at a time is all you can do!

Many years ago I had a large flock of feral chickens. Somewhere I have a picture of me standing with a circle of perhaps a hundred birds around me eating the feed that I scattered.

Good morning, Cafe - coffee is ready. Tonya, good luck with resolving the problems with your dogs.
