BYC Café

Wow, look at all of that green stuff. Do you know how old that building is, Perris?
It's shown on the 1841 OS map, so 170+ years - with later additions, obviously!
Are you going to try to repair that building Perris?
I'd like to fix the roof so that it's dry inside; it would be jolly handy to have a functioning shelter in the paddock.
Be careful in there!!
will do! The chickens sensibly stay out Shad :p
Just tear it down and start over!
easier said than done with those walls. Some of the stones are gigantic, and very hard!
I like your project, Perris!
Thanks! So do I while the sun's out and it's dry :D I may feel differently by Christmas :idunno

Good morning Cafe. The coffee is brewed.
Yesterday we went for a crate of pallet scrap wood. It's all heat treated oak and ash cut offs and it makes wonderful wood for the stove. But because it packs so tight when we stack it, it has to be dry. You have to get the crates before it rains. They had three great crates and I wanted all of it but it was after 7 when we got there so we just took one. Two crates fill the truck to the max.
The rain started as we were driving home. Just random drops really. We ran the pallet scrap into the wood shed just as the skies opened up and it started to really come down right after the last load went in. And it's still raining this morning. But at least we got one crate plus the remnants of last years cord wood to start burning when needed now that the temp has dropped.

Good morning, Cafe'. Which pot, which pot ? Okay, I'll have a cup from each. Thanks.
One on the left is coffee... teapot, hot water kettle in the middle, and expresso/capachino on the right.
