Bout spit coffee! :gig
Have broken several pullets just by tossing them out of nest multiple times a day.
Didn't want to do that here so she's crated and will probably let her out for a walk near roost time this evening, then crate her again if she doesn't roost.
I put them on the roost bar at night if they are still sitting on an empty nest at dusk. It mostly works. I get a few that go back to the nest site and wait hoping one of their tribe will come along and lay an egg if they've switched off. Otherwise some just lay an egg and sit on that.:barnie

I am guilty of allowing the nest for the night, but just for my very old girls, they are 9,5 and 7,5 and look like hedgehogs!
Those are good ages. Do either of them still lay eggs. The eldest here laid a couple of very thin shelled eggs this year and promtly broke them leaving the nest. She's ten years old now.
