Love my portable phone!
But for when the power is out, I have a slimline with a 15' cord.
Also have a rotary wall phone in the lower level with a 15' cord, love the bell on that one.

Really have not seen a raotary in years either .. We do have house phone only political use it or who ever had it before the number

We made some real coffee too! I got cold splitting wood and needed a warm-up.

Meg, you said the 8 yr old has been sick for a couple of weeks now?
I would at least call his doc as that is pretty unusual. There may be a missed condition that is causing his body to have a hard time with it, (leukemia ). A blood test is in order!
At least that is what I would do if it were my kiddo, just to make sure.

Him and the littlest one were the last to show symptoms and he's really not complaining of anything being wrong. My brother said he seems fine, other than having a fever (which is back down, now). Maybe a little spacey, but fine otherwise. My brother is the one it started with, then the oldest boy who's still not feeling very good. I talked to one of my friends who got tested for it a few weeks ago, and he still doesn't have his taste back!

The CDC came out with a list of 17 "new" long covid symptoms... They're talking up to a couple months of fever spikes, fatigue, confusion etc.
