Just avoided the freeze overnight. About 10C mid day here.
I've been out walking on the East ridge looking for strawberry tree fruit.
Got a bit of rain this evening.

Our problem is ICU bed capacity. Our little county of 200,000 had three more covid deaths since last thursday too.

Sadly the Church in Esparto is ignoring it all and planning to hold Church services indoors next Sunday. The County information Officer pleaded with people to not do stuff like that, said that we did not want to see empty chairs because our reckless behavior killed a loved one....

Good afternoon Cafe. Coffee (Lavazza; what else?) is freshly brewed.

I found an egg in the border! It's probably one of Janeka's, given its dark brown colour and weighing in at 66g. She's finished her molt, and has form for laying away from the nest boxes, but she only stopped laying 21 Oct and is still pink rather than red on comb and wattles, so I'm not sure. Her youngsters, who are the only real contenders for a proper brown egg, are almost 5 months old and reddening up, but that's very large for a pullet's first egg (unless it's a double-yolker of course). It sank quickly to the bottom in a water test so I don't think it's been there long, although quite mucky with the fallen leaves and wet soil etc. - very lucky I didn't break it with the rake actually, because it was very well camouflaged amongst the fallen leaves.

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee, Perris.
DH is scheduled for his colonoscopy the second week in January and they will remove several biopsies along the colon. I will research a bit more on the Alzheimer's/diarrhea link.

We went food shopping and I wanted to go to JoAnn Fabrics for an iron on patch. The Christmas décor was on sale and I found little wreaths that fit nicely on the doors in our house. I put three up on interior door and one on the front door. I haven't decorated a house since 2012. DH insisted on paying for them as a gift to me and they make me smile every time I look at them.

Bit of snow overnight, everything's coated but grass is still peeking thru.
It's pretty....wish I hadn't left the buckets out to drain/dry(DOH!)
