BYC Café

I read a couple of articles about fines being applied in Australia. Here county Sheriff's say they will refuse to enforce mask and other rules.

Australia has not had a case of covid in more than 70 days. We had over 3,000 people die of covid yesterday
It was fairly obvious what was likely to happen in the USA, UK and here in Spain regarding Covid as early as March. The reasons are different but the results much the same.
What I find sad is none of these countries will learn from this. They'll vote for the same and get the same time after time in the UK and USA and in Spain, family style culture is so deeply embedded that there is just no way you can stop people kissing and hugging each other. I see it every time I go out. Two people approach each other, both wearing masks. They walk up to each other pull the maks down, hug and kiss.
There are a few right wing conspiracy types here but nothing like the lunacy I read about in the USA.
In the UK it's sloppy government and a failing National Health system.

Good evening Cafe.
Tea is made. Earl Grey again.
Chickens. Less depressing than the weather and just as infectious as Covid.:D

Good evening Cafe.
Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass on the Earl Grey if you don't mind Shad; I prefer a proper cup of (black) tea rather than the 'delicate' grey.
You'll have to share how it turns out for you
will do! Same recipe I've been using for >20 yrs, and it's usually reliable, if I don't go overboard on the variations that is!
is $66K/year.
:bow the NHS. Yes it has issues, like all health care systems. But we are not faced with medical bills (unless we have a sick animal; vets not covered sadly!) so we don't have that to worry about on top of whatever the health issue might be. But I'm sure you're right Bruce, you're being fleeced by big pharma. You can get a lot of drugs much cheaper in Canada.

There.
Coop eave baffle tweaked to perfection.
Shop vac hauled out of coop and cleaned.
As long as air compressor was on,
topped off tires on van, hand truck, and compressor itself.
All that only took 45 minutes, but my ankle is *screaming* at me.
...but, it's DONE!

What an amazingly rejuvenating job! :yesss:

Just realized I'll need to make more bread soon,
can't imagine doing it in my toaster oven,
not sure one loaf would fit let alone two.

My microwave is ~35 years old.
My Dad bought it for me, top of the line, in the mid 80's.
Still seems to work fine.

Loving the sunny day, makes me do more stuff in the kitchen, the only room the sun really shines into for most the day.
We had an Amana Radar Range microwave that my parents bought us for a housewarming gift. It lasted a long time, but finally broke down.
