We got a few inches of widow maker snow- wet & heavy. But, I'm not married and have always been guilted into doing the snow. As a little girl my mother said if my father shoveled the snow, he'd have a heart attack and die and we'd lose the house and have no where to go.

Didn't work on my older sister or younger brother but, I shoveled tons of snow in my life and still do. Actually with me it's an art. I love shoveling snow- I can see the effects of my efforts.
 
Finnaly got Christmas cards mailed yesterday not too much ahead there Deb ..
We went into town Son's phone turned out to be a lemon they took it ordered another Two weeks later no phone oh gee they had it did not nofify us .. New phone is also a lemon :confused:ordering another today :idunno
My DW is working on an Holiday news letter-- It will be sent via email

That is too funny....but likely was not funny at the time.
 
our Xmas deccies don't come down till the 6th or thereabouts (12 days and all that); apparently in the old days it used to go on even longer...
is it a US-wide tradition to get them down quickly? Or did you put them up earlier?
A lot of people put them up right after Thanksgiving and leave to the New year. My brother put his tree up in October when he had covid... Running out of things to do I suppose :p
