BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe', and thanks for the coffee DL. I've never seen as many deer mice as are around this year. I've caught a dozen or more in the basement, 26 in the beagle club clubhouse, and 22 in the beagle club pole barn.
We’ve had more mice this year than I ever remember too. I have a kill sheet that I started a month or two ago & the numbers are astounding.

I find the best technique is to keep clearing & resetting the traps throughout night. I know most people can’t really do that, but if you can, it really stacks the numbers up quick.

Anyone done the bucket trick and had it work what concerns me is will birds try to get at the water in it ?
I haven’t. Drowning is too slow. As much as I don’t like them, I don’t want to torture them either. I prefer a swift kill.

The Tom Cat traps kill them faster than anything else I’ve used.

Cheap skate! It's only $10.

It's not a lot of hair!
I don't get a wash; she dry cuts it
My hair isn't much shorter than yours, cut the same way and it is $25. Though I've not had it cut professionally since last March. I've been hacking it away myself. Doesn't look too bad, at least not from the front, I have no idea what it looks like from the back .

Now I just buzz it all off myself with the dog clippers every couple months.
That is WAY too short for me!

Had another one tonight. -14°, so he got a blow dry. Approx. 102#
Big calf!

Emotionally draining or no, they needed to hear that from the doctor.
:yesss: I'm glad they have at least peered through the reality door.
I'm sure it is hard on them to accept what is inside that room.

Ehh I got laid off.
Oh, bummer. That never feels good no matter what the circumstances. Covid related?

this is epic we have good 12 inches now 12 more coming today
Wow, that is a TON of snow in your area!

Ahhh but they are small I can torure them :rantNot but really hate the damn things
If the damn things stay out of my kitchen, they won't make me have to kill them. And they have ignore the "quick end" traps, even the $2.50/each ones.

Well, it hopped the ridge... -4F now and dropping fast!

DS$ had a good day. Started off with winning a close one in the third overtime, was mad at himself for letting it get that close, so destroyed the next two guys.

We also had oodles of mice and other rodents. It is creepy when you see them in the road at night. I think their population is starting to crash around here with the drought that set in during the August timeframe.

Penny, I hope you enjoy your snow and I am glad that it won't stick around long.
We have a fire going and hot coffee!
