A friend of mine tried Methotrexate and the side effects had her stop it after a few month, and she did not get any benefit from taking it.

It sounds to me like that's the biggest issue: finding which one works for you. I have a friend with psoriatic arthritis and it helps him, but didn't necessarily put him into remission. Although, the definition of remission is pretty gray.

Yes, and the Methotrexat made it much worse.

That's terrible. I'm sorry for her. Passing out would be scary! Does she have a partner?

Sadly, her husband died three years ago from cancer.

That would be very hard to deal with by yourself.

It was a very hard and sad time.

Ever since she is living alone with her two dogs and her chickens on her little farm in the Austrian mountains. For almost six month per year the sun will not shine there as her home is overshadowed by the mountains.
