BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready. Big strong pot.

I got my second jab yesterday at noon. I woke up last night at 1:30 drenched in sweat feeling like I'd been steamrolled. OMG! It was hell getting up this morning and I'm staying home at least for the morning. I seriously doubt I'll be motivated enough to go to work.

I assumed I'd have some kind of response to the second shot but I didn't realize my body thought the best way to deal with the spikey arm invader was to launch napalm through by veins and steamroll me. Sheesh.

Was it already time for the second one? I thought you just got your first.

Morning! Cold and snow flurries here. I am off to get a new windshield in the car and not sure what else to do in this weather, besides drink hot coffee. I managed to get my first shot last night while I just happened to have to drive the whole way to wrestling practice and was wasting time in the grocery store and they announced that they had extra available, so... ta-da! After wasting hours on the computer trying to track one down these past months... We shall see what happens, just a bit of a sore arm at the injection site this time. Anyway, what Sour says DL, "Take it easy, your style!"

How long did that last?
Moderna or Pfizer?
Pfizer. Until about 6 in the morning. I kept trying to get back to sleep. It was exhausting.
I just woke up from a nap in the chair. I feel a little clearer in the head and the body aches are much reduced but I did take 600 mg of Ibuprofen before resting.

Good morning, cafe. Thanks for the coffee, Tonya!

Glad you made it through your procedure okay. And enjoyed the show?? I'd have lost consciousness (wow, it took me so long to figure out how to spell that and I pride myself on my spelling abilities...Not today! :th)

How are you feeling now? Any better? I keep hearing the second shot is the one that gets you down. Hopefully it's just a quick blip and you're good to go. Did DH have his second, as well?

My husbands hernia surgery went well and he'll be home tonight! He's been gone since Sunday. The doctor here said he had three, but he ended up only having two. All patched up, a few weeks of no lifting and he's good as new :yesss:

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

DL, hope you are feeling better. :fl

Our second shot is four weeks after the first. I really hope we can bump it up a week. I want to get it over and done as soon as possible so we can get past any reactions before we go to NC.

Cold and dreary here. Hubby's car is at the shop, so my time today is bookended by doing the "shop shuffle" and getting hubby to work, and hubby and car home.

Think I'll go collect egg(s), bake some bread, and knit. I already took a nap.
