We go out go in somewhere we still wear masks but no helmet. All those folks are heroes also ...
But our state is still recommending vacs and masks.

We will still order take out maybe a year or more ?

For us I think it will depend on vaccination rates. If the wait staff is fully vaccinated and they aren't cramming tables together it should be ok. But we'll wait until DD2 is done. Second shot Thursday next week then 2 more weeks.

As in the covid no one has to pay.. Maybe if they become like a flu vaccine yearly they will change that part I do not know certain. BF had to pay for Shingrix his plan did not cover it.. I did all mine like 2 weeks apart having bad reaction to many I just space them now.

Am not looking forward to the 5 day mid to high 80's weather forecast.
Got to get at least one shade cloth up today.
Been thinking about taking down the chick wall, I've been lax with integration, first due to cold now due to heat. SMH.
One cockerel got 'stuck' in the main run yesterday afternoon, mean girls wouldn't let him get back into the coop(if he even knew how). He made it eventually. Meangirl was beating on him, Willie stopped her then gave cockerel a few pecks.
Had a big fat raccoon skulking around the runs last evening. First I thought it was that damngroundhog, I yelled and it waddled away squeezing thru the chain link gate gap.
Glad I have HC around the bottom 2' of runs, or it probably would have gotten a chick.
Think I should euthanize the half blind hen, she can eat and drink(in the crate) and doesn't appear to have any other symptoms tho poops have odd odor, but whatever is wrong with her eye could be contagious so she might as well go to fox food instead of struggling in the flock.
Might have a broody hen, found one in the nests last night, she was there a few days ago too.

DH hates the heat. I can tolerate it much better than he can.

This weekend, we're going to work on his projects. Weather permitting, of course.

Yesterday was "Gotcha Day" for our dog Mara. She's had our hearts for 3 years now.

Thanks. It stunk but it's done.
Hard decision, first bird I've euthanized that wasn't really sick.
She was losing condition tho.

DH hates the heat.

I just does me in, no AC here either.
I wish it would stay between 40 and 70.

Morning! Another pot of coffee is brewing. Some sort of sunshine here and I guess it is time to start on the chores. I have been pulling up the ground junipers while they are "soft." My neighbor has/ had a lot that went right up to her porch.
Happy ferry riding! Sorry for your loss, aart, but it sounds like you made the best decision for her.
