BYC Café

I've found that syringing or tubing lots of water along with the coconut oil with a partially (or completely) impacted crop along with the massages helps quite a lot.
My crowing girl hates me to this day because of 2 days of intense treatment to clear her crop when she was a pullet.
Yeah, not going to be adding water like that.
She's drinking well and eating the oil infused crumble.

Good evening everyone!

I just finished another round of debridement and wound care with my La Flèche rooster and today it did not smell anymore and the amount of pus was noticeably less than the days before. So I hope to have him healed up without losing the toe.

Hen in 'hospital' with a huge hard crop!
Noticed it night before last, was same last night so I crated her.
She pooped a bunch but crop is still stuffed.
She'll be getting coconut oil all day.
How is you hen doing by now? Did the crop go down already?

Your Napoleon is just so handsome, a real eye candy and he seems to have a sense of humour too. :love
He's a great little guy. This is the only way I can enjoy two roosters. He's too small to hurt Fabio by jumping him when he's sleeping like Captain did and Fabio doesn't have any interest in fighting him. He just runs him off as required.
He really loves hanging out with the girls while they are laying eggs. Shortly after I took this picture, Missy drove him out of that box so he went down 2 boxes and got in that one instead!

It's gone down a tad in size but is still pretty hard/tight.
She does not like the massage.
Poops are pretty solid and of good quantity, I see that as a good sign.
Hoping a couple more days of CO should do the trick.

All 6 eggs are developing. They are now under their new mother. Thirteen days to go...

When you flip houses, you need credit!
Yep! Businesses generally need to borrow on a regular basis. My "minimal to no borrowing" mantra is for personal finances.

I had to be coerced to get a credit card after my divorce to build credit,
DD2 has no credit history because she's never had any bills. Couldn't sign up on the Vermont Health Connect website (she aged out of DWs insurance in May) because she has no credit history. Told her she should get a CC so she has some history for the future but she said she might spend too much and get in trouble. Fat chance, that girl doesn't let go of a penny without a cry of pain ;)
