BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, Debby.

24F this morning!
I FINALLY got the water sills mounted to the front of the garage yesterday. Today I plan to mount the three coach lamps, put the D4 siding up and lay out the cultured stone pattern for the three locations it's needed. Tomorrow I'll mortar it up if it doesn't rain.

I've also got help coming today to move around some blue point junipers and help re-organize the shed and garage so I can get my rough cut lumber order stored and my car in the right bay.

Isn't it too cold to mortar?
As long as you mix and apply after the temp is above 40 and there is enough time for the initial strengthening and set up to occur while the moisture absorbs into the backer board and stone, it'll be fine. Not ideal but it's work. These are also small areas.
I put support clips under the sills to help with early strengthening support.
