Mornin' all!

Not fair starting such a lovely day feeling like you've been beaten.

Okay, enough of my whining. Need to get myself psyched up for day 1 of what has become a sort of crazy annual tradition for us. In a few hours, BB2K and I will take some bunnies, some chicks, and Blondie the Easter Pony down to a local toy store and meet and greet scads of little people and their families. It's nutsy, it's busy, and for an introvert like me, exhausting, but I love doing it. And if we survive it this afternoon, we get to do it all again tomorrow morning!

BertS, I hope this build is a sort of birthday present to yourself - you certainly earn it. Happy Birthday!

Are the Smelt running yet, as weather has been all over the place I was wondering?

The sap has been running, not sure about the smelt, but I don't think so. I don't eat those, but I have cleaned plenty when I was a kid.

Our Easter storm turned out to be not much here, now we wait for the prom weekend snow, the Mother's Day snow, and the one other random snow.

I haven't seen a good smelt run in years... I remember when they ran heavy on the Days river in Rapid River.
when I was a kid we used to cross into Canada over the ambassador bridge and go smelting.
we would fill garbage cans..... probably why they don't run much anymore.
I also used to go catch smelt in Munising through the ice.

Kind of a dreary day today, hope it clears up we are supposed to go easter egg hunting at in town this afternoon.
We went to football last night the thing 1 and 2 were super cute in their tutus, got lots of ohhs and ahhs which they ate up

I could not get a picture of them standing still :/
