Yesterday we had one of these newly termed 'atmospheric rivers' let loose in eastern Nova Scotia.
Ohhh, given how close Sackville is to Nova Scotia, I wonder if DD1 got some of that.

Am I the only one who has problems opening those dog poop bags? Probably as I also have problems with the plastic vegetable bags. :old The Princess had to open a jar of tomato sauce for me yesterday. :barnie
Those bags are the pits, especially the new compostable ones. Pre Covid the process was to lick a couple of fingers to get some friction, not sure people want to see that now.

DW tried to do the same with a jar of dilly beans for me the other day, she couldn't do it either. I got out my Grandmother's

It dented up the cap a fair bit before the seal popped, I guess Heidi's canner did a good job!

They must have sold pretty well since she lived all her life in So. Cal after being brought from Spain by her father when she was about 3. The opener was made in Burlington, VT, < 1/2 mile from our old house.

It was 19°F when DW left for work just before 7. Made it ALL the way up to 21°F now. It might make freezing later.

Have been wondering the same.
She hasn't had any more accidents.
I fed her 7 small meals of chicken and rice with a bit of carrot soup yesterday.
Today I'm doubling the size of the 7 meals.
Tomorrow she goes to 3 meals totaling her normal daily intake; still all chicken and rice. She'll go for a run tomorrow for the first time since getting sick. Friday I'll start blending in her normal diet and adding Greek yogurt.
In other words, painfully slow for her! She's hungry. She's wants to eat.
Her intestinal lining is a train wreck I'm sure.
She seems to be getting back to herself. She Frenched my nephew when he was laying on the couch this morning.

Got my first pullet egg from the 6 new girls today :) A MASSIVE ;) 34 gram brown egg. I am GUESSING Nina since she has the most red comb and wattles. She laid it in the box under the ladder in the feed room.

Aurora also laid, she's been doing 1 or 2 a week even though she is moulting. Never had a hen do that before. AND her last 4 eggs have been on the floor of the coop. This from a girl that has been laying in the nest boxes for 2 years without a break. What the heck?

Good Morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee!

We have a decent dusting of snow on the ground for the first time. Yesterday we had one of these newly termed 'atmospheric rivers' let loose in eastern Nova Scotia. We're all okay, but there is an insane amount of road damage from flooding and washouts (including over half a dozen bridges, some of which are brand new). The other side of the Cabot Trail was hit the hardest.
What did they call them before? Here they were call pineapple express storms

Funny I was told that driving in the snow is warmer and dryer than walking .. Went to my postal buds place she has the yorkie that had rat terrier pups .. Puppy fix but did not fall into bring one home but will post a flyer with the photos at our local post office
