BYC Café

Wishing them all a swift recovery!

Same here, and we still enjoy each others company and have lots to talk about. 😊
All were vaccinated but not boostered, and so far symptoms are relatively mild. It's sort of amazing that after 57 years we have not run out of things to talk about. :p

Good morning, Cafe'.

Grand daughter and her fiance' have Covid, grandson just returned from college with Covid, daughter and SIL have been exposed, older grandson is not coming home from Ca. because of all of this - that eliminates one family. Son and family will not come unless that can get Covid tested - that is highly unlikely. So, it's just the Princess and me. Thankful that we like one another.
Well, I reckon Christmas weddings and funerals is where families fall out so perhaps Covid will mean less stress for everyone.
Even my lot talk about how lovely it would be to see the family. The novelty soon wears off and they spend the New Year slagging off the people they were looking forward to seeing over Christmas.

I'm planning on spending as mucch time as possible with the chickens.

I know. I'm always looking on the bright side.

Errrrmmm.... you were looking for some christmas gifts, were you not?
Ah yes. So I was.
I got some. I/we do something very strange at Christmas. I/we don't buy present type presents any more. We can buy food, or give something we made.
The exception is children. They get the same rubbish everyone else is buying.:p
So I dragged myself around some of the more interesting food shops in Bristol. There are shops catering for just about every nationality here. Of course I like the Italian and Spanish shops. I've got a couple of things I've made out of wood to give as well.

The 'Ignore' function is my friend especially over on the Coronavirus thread.
To be honest I'm reluctant to use it. I think I've used it as a permenant solution twice since I've been here. In both case it was as time showed the correct action.
