Just returned from the vet's office. Thought that 'Dale' had a prostate problem as he was exhibiting urinary tract problems. Prostate is fine, no stones in bladder, but an X ray indicates seriously thickened bladder wall. Possible bladder infection or malignancy. Sent blood and urine off for analysis and started him on Amoxicillin. Vet is concerned - so am I.

It does sound concerning indeed. How old is Dale?

He will be 8 in March and has always been a strong/healthy dog. He has been used at stud to some degree and is producing really good pups. From the first 9 b*tches bred, 7 have made their championships, 4 are seeking points, and others have places. He's a really nice animal, and I am hoping for the best. Other than the frequent urination I would never have thought that he had a problem.

Hopefully it is just an infection that will respond to the treatment and you caught it rather early. :fl
