I've been putting up shelves and hanging some venitian blinds I had made to fit the the large living room window and one in the bedroom. I brought a selection of screws and rawlplugs with me from Spain. Not loads, a few of the most common sizes. Do you think any of what I brought is the right size?
There is some fiendish law at work here. It doesn't matter how much junk one collects, the bit for the job is never there.
Not much of a problem one might think. But, along with the fruit and veg shops, the butchers and fishmongers, decent hardware stores have dissapeared from the high street. If you want stuff like this now you have to go to one of those ghastly shopping precincts where you walk five miles around shelfs just to find a couple of rawlplugs. The nearest one of these to me is a 20 minute bus ride away. 40 minutes traveling; a week or two wandering around the store looking for exactly what one wants.
I prefered going into a local shop, telling the person behind the counter what I wanted who knew their job and their stock and getting the job done in a few minutes.

Decided to wait for this to fall, then be plowed off road and shoulder, before clearing driveway tomorrow....when it's warmer(above 10°).

Thought I had a broody on a nest last night and this morning,
but maybe being tossed into the frigid(1°) run this morning did the trick.
She's a serial tho, so no bets.
