I woke up to 54F weather. Winter storm expected tomorrow. Welcome to NY.

And VT though we aren't quite that warm. Still way above normal. Will be close to 0°F in the morning.

DH said he got to work with no issues, so I'm going out and about today. Everything froze solid -- it's 20 degrees -- and is crunchy or was down to dirt. A few shiny spots to beware of.

Wondering what I'll find at Lowes to spend $50 on. Oh, no worries there, I'm sure! I don't know if they carry chicken feed; it's been AGES since I went to Lowes.

I have never seen chicken feed, but they do carry sunflower and wild bird seed.

Good morning, cafe. Brought a fresh pot, cuz brrr....-24° (-31°) when I got up at 5am and 5hrs later it's up to -4°! And the wind is blowing. And I hate winter.

@LaFleche , here is the link to the recipe for marshmallows. They are the first ones I've tried and they turned out lovely! Like a little pillowy, dreamy, creamy gem. Will have to try roasting them and see how they hold up. I'm guessing they'll be pretty awesome. My daughter in law is a s'mores lover and her birthday is coming up, so I'll have to get creative!

Well, Lowes was disappointing. They have so much more stuff online that isn't in the store. But we can always use wood glue and screws, so I got those instead. $50 is $50, right?
