Thanks everyone for your kind words.

I have been up since 4.30am - thinking - as you do with this sort of thing.

It's a big day for us today. Unfortunately, I am heading off to get pregnant without my husband, lol. Well, he will be there is essence (ha, ha!) but he had to work today, so my sister is coming with me for the day.

We are going to make a little day trip out of it, stopping at a sweet factory and two bakeries on the way home, so we have pleasant memories of the trip no matter what the outcome.

I am nervous, but your well wishes will hold me in good stead.

It takes a lot of fats- the good ones- to make babies.
Every baby I know whose mom avoided fats during pregnancy were always crying. Their little nerves were raw. They had no myelin to buffer them from all of the new smells and feels and sounds and everything that is life. Brains are made of fat. Eat your walnuts,
Drink your milk, eat your eggs... if they sometime come in the form of ice cream, well then. There you go.

Oh my gosh! I have been so busy working, cleaning and baking I missed all the excitement! Here Krista, have a cinnamon roll...they are still warm from the oven. I'm sure that will help! I have my fingers crossed for you...thinking only positive thoughts!

Important things first - Oh my, those coffee scrolls look good!

In other news, I have now got one 3-cell embryo floating about inside me, and I'm hoping it finds a nice, soft spot and settles in for a 9 month nap.

The odds, they say, are between 5 and 10% success for someone of my age. I am looking on the bright side - if someone told me I had a 5 - 10% chance of winning the lotto this week I'd be excited. If I had a 5 to 10% chance of dying this week, I'd be petrified.

Someone has to fall into the 5 to 10% gap, and I see no reason why it might not be me.

And so begins a looooonnnnggg two week wait.....
