Three whole entire sessions offered by EAP. After that I'll pay full price until I hit my $1,825 deductible.
I haven't called. I don't know which one to pick and I don't have time to go unless I take him with me. So maybe after the move, I'll look into this more.

Meet my first support group.
They aren't free though. It cost me a tin of sardines and an apple core.
They had no advice to offer but still made me feel a little better.

Talking to other people who have been thru what you're going thru can really help.
Just hearing their stories can make you realize you are not alone and offer possible solutions to reduce your pain.
This helped me immensely when going thru the throes of drink/drug addiction.
Wasn't one when my son died, but reading books and online definitely helped.

I tried finding something local. What I found was that Covid shut everything down and you couldn't go anywhere to a meeting. Hopefully that has changed. Doing a virtual meeting isn't exactly an option either with DH sitting in the room with me.

I don't feel human anymore. And I haven't felt super in so long I can't remember.
I wonder if I'll ever find my way back to me.
I wonder how long I'll be so depressed and stressed and worried about him.
This whole situation sucks any way you look at it.

Take time for yourself, things you like to do. You can get respite care. But, it comes to a point where we just can't do it any more. Not your fault.

I am so sorry. When i felt that way, i sat in a rocker and rocked. Try listening to music you enjoy. Finally my husband and i found a place to move to and left the place behind. Mother was in a nursing home.
