I was out in the woods yesterday and must have see 5 or 6 ground hog holes. I already know there's a raccoon in one of the outbuildings, and may have a nest in there.

To check for mites, put on a head lamp and check the coop after dark. Mites hide in the corners of the coop and come out to feed at night.Wow, didn't know that. I have seen a few light blood streaks, but on a different bird's eggs. I'll be watching out for this going forward, for sure. Thanks for the info.
I have never gotten a raccoon in a trap. Tried, but failed. Still trying. However, there is one less ground hog out there now.At least you can trap a raccoon.
