BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I'm getting DH for the day. I'm still coughing but I think it's just the lingering effects of whatever I had. I'll probably still wear a mask and we'll spend as much time outside as possible.

I took Bella to the Owego Strawberry Festival yesterday where she met this guy. Who approached her from behind and touched her back.

The people I was with were concerned for the guy in the costume. Bella turned around and started trying to rub her halter off on it's face! She was utterly unconcerned with this thing she'd never seen before. None of the dogs there seemed to react to it in a frightened manner.

Every morning when I get up Maggie is sitting in her crate patiently waiting to be let out. This morning she scared me. From the kitchen I looked into her crate and saw 4 legs sticking up into the air. I called, "Maggie", and oh so slowly she righted herself and said, "I'm just resting, Dad." Who wanted this damn dog ? :barnie

You aren't the first person to suggest this. And there's no way out for me so all I can do is go through it.
I know you're busy, but take a little time for yourself. Relax in the tub, light some candles. If only for 10 minutes. Read for a few minutes before bed. Get your hair done. It does help.

Just ahead of the next heat wave.....got the shade cloths up today, always a bit of a sore body chore, reaching up over my head threading/closing zipties and putting hands thru 2x4 holes to get things in the right place.
Went smooth tho, got the technique and order down. Am tired now, will be sore.

Definitely have 2 broodies(DAMNIT!!!) 1(biterbitch) went into crate the other got put in aux run until I could close the nests. Not sure how I'll handle it thru the heat wave.
More broodies this year than any of the past 8, wonders if it's because this is the only year I haven't had a cockbird and also no chicks.
