Good morning! Sounds like a long weekend for most of us! I just need to sit awhile and sip some coffee and wake up....

It's great! What is everyone else having?

I made decent progress. I decided to wait until tomorrow to finish digging the bottom drain and bore into the filter pit because groundwater is pushing out my lower wall repairs. I bailed out six five gallon buckets of water from the pond today. But I managed to get some material to stick to the top of the blowouts. Hopefully by Sunday I'll be able to get more of it repaired.

I got the skimmer installed, the 2-in pipe run into the filter pit, the pump mounted and the two output lines connected. I also cleaned out the waterfall filter which was full of mud and rocks.

This is just a pretty spider web I saw on my way out to run the dogs this morning.

It surely was. On the bright side, I slept like the dead last night.

Another interesting chicken observation from this morning...

Annie, my crowing hen, is currently molting and cranky as all get out. After scattering their daily three small handfuls of scratch, I went into the coop and looked out the window to see Annie run over and kick Cayuga in the head because she wanted to take the seed she was eating! What a B**ch!!!

The plumbing saga continues.
Because I live in rural Missouri, plumbers are few and far between, are booked solid, and apparently horribly unreliable.

Sorry to read about your unreliable plumber troubles @Beaker99. I know the feeling. Well.

DH and I had a nice day yesterday and I found some more things for his apartment. I will be hauling it all down this Friday morning and setting up what I have for him. We will continue to visit antique malls to find little special treasures to decorate it.
There have been zero incidents since I informed the workers there that he is leaving and why. The house manager seems to think the "nasty" person is one of the residents because DH gets confused during the night when he uses the bathroom and goes into their rooms sometimes and gets yelled at. I intend to have a conversation with her once DH is safely moved out and let her know that is not the case.
