BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are all ready and the frig is stocked with all sorts of accoutrements to add as you see fit.

I've got a smash and bash appointment this morning then I'm picking up DH for haircuts. Then an appointment with the nurse in charge of the dementia ward so we can clear up some issues I have. And I'm picking up my key to his apartment.
Ok, I've missed out on the dementia conversation. Is there a quick version? I lost my husband to Alzheimer's last year. Man I miss that man. Holidays here = hard.

My partner, we call him DH for ease of communication, has advanced Alzheimer's and prostate cancer. I think we talked about it once before in another thread. Maybe a PM.

Ahh..my brain fog.. seriously. I've finally gotten a diagnosis after going to many specialists, so listen up .. every one.. I don't mean to forget. But it will happen.🤪. I have Vestibular Migraines. Not painful, but like dementia is under an umbrella with many different types. Dobi, I do remember talking to you in PM about your dog. :) So, yes my husband passed away with Alzheimer's and also had Prostate Cancer. The long goodbye as they call it..for a good reason. So sorry. 💗 My husband had only been diagnosed 3 1/2 years before he left us. A blessing that it wasn't a 15 year battle.

Good morning Cafe! I've brewed a pot for anyone who needs it this lovely chilly Saturday morning.

We got our first frost of the year. Waiting to see whether it truly killed off the two dahlias I have left in the ground, or whether it was light enough to just bite the odd leaf. I'm in Halifax, so relying on hubby for updates 😂
