BYC Café

So on my way fishing yesterday.... I drove through the little town of "Rock"
It's a small town just south of where I live about... 15 miles I guess.
Anyway as I drove through it a great sadness came over me..... I should have stopped and took a picture of the "Welcome to Rock' sign...... See a friend of ours used to live there..... And I bet some of his relatives still do.... I wish I knew his last name or wife's maiden name... I wish I knew what happened....Scott if your there somewhere please come back.... You are missed

Good Morning, thanks for the coffee Bert.

Wish we would get a real.rain, we just have been getting enough to settle the dust, but not enough to keep the drought from taking over the state again. At least the mountains have been getting some snow, which helps the overall water situation. I'm thankful for that.

howdy Friday, you could have some of the 16" on Monday, folks had just north of us........

only downside, is that by Thrusday, most of it will be flowing through our rivers and creeks.

our place will be ok, but there will be some more flooding.

Truth is folks I care about all of you.... This site has really helped me deal with retirement and so many other things.
Even though I'll probably never met any of you... When someone goes missing I feel a loss.....
The fact that Scott used to live one town over makes it even harder for me... Cuz I know I could probably knock on a door there and find out what happened.... Not that I'm gonna pry.... Just the fact I drove through there regularly.... So here's hoping he does come back and all is well cuz in always gonna wonder every time I drive through..."Rock"

Good morning. Pass the coffee...one of the dogs decided they needed to bark at something in our driveway at 3am...so tired...:caf

My meeting on Monday was fun, lunch was wonderful and the tomato bisque soup that was served was the best I've ever had. So, of course I'm going to try to recreate it today after my trip into town for a haircut and more catfood.

Phil- I love the little towns in the upper peninsula, you just never know what you're going to find. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Scott, continued prayers that all is well in your world..:)

Morning! It is truly sunny out there! I'll share some snow too. I don't need it all.
I miss Scott too. I don't know how these things work but if it is a moderator thing, like a time out, do you think they would say it was if you asked. Cause if he is in time out, would he get the PMs? If it is a personal emergency, then he would get them . Just wondering, because you think there would be some sort of communication, not just a poof. Maybe we need to add an addendum to our living / wills that states that our next of kin needs to log on and let someone know what is going on..... in case of alien abduction or whatever. Don't know...... I get email notices for PMs and such, but that is how I have it set up. Maybe that is not how Scott has it set up and he just logs on. Just thinking and trying to come up with possibilities. I don't really think he is in time out, but that is seemingly becoming the most positive outcome.....
Anyway, HUGS to all.
I have an ewe that is looking rather uncomfortable. She groans all the time.(For a couple of weeks now.) She is a first timer and I think she is over being pregnant. I need to figure out what early is in ewe days, cause they are due May 2nd ish. I think this snow needs to go and I should figure out what the heck I am doing!
DS# is doing well on his meds except for the full torso rash, a reaction to the c. diff meds. You should have seen the look on his face when I told him that he needed to call the doc yet again and just let them know. It isn't getting worse, nor is it itchy, it just is there. This has been quite a learning experience tor him, actually for all of us. Always something so drink more coffee!!!!
