BYC Café

Piper was grumbling and huffing while looking out the window. I thought maybe that stupid herd of deer that terrorize my landscaping was crossing the yard. Bella must have thought so too.
Nope. Piper could see the flock heading down to their favorite water hole! Bella looked over at Piper like "kid, are you serious?" then walked away.

I brought more HOT coffee! It is 8F out there, uuuuuugh.
I am glad that your brother is doing better, aart!
DL, Penny's suggestion comes in a Musinex 12 hour pill form that I swear by with chest congestion. Nothing but an expectorant.
I was thinking of snowshoeing today, but 8F? Tomorrow the breezes will be lighter!
I also now have to take a friend errand running so I guess that is that. It will give DH one more day to be less sore from the last time anyway.
Enjoy the day, Cafe!

Half inch of slush out there now. It's dripping off the trees, and that sounds like it's pouring rain.

I'm considering fencing in an area off the chickens' run, to give them some more room. It's under trees, so maybe safe from flying predators...? I could attach the fence to tree trunks, so a limited number of posts would be required. Which is good, because the soil is very rocky. I'd have to put in at least one, and probably two.

I just thought of this while I was out there a few minutes ago. I haven't mentioned it to DH. The area would be in woods, going down a hill. It could be out of the way of all the stuff in the side yard: Propane tank, wood piles, Freya's frisbee area, well head.
