We also have trout lillies.

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee Orca. Have a wonderful visit with your sister!!

I pumped out the pond yesterday to re-do the liner attachment to the bottom drain. I scooped out all the frog egg globs I could find (I now have a 5 gallon bucket full of them - they are not going back in the pond. They will be part of the witness relocation program into one of the gazillion ponds near me), 2 bloated dead frogs 🤮, about a dozen live frogs and gobs of leaves because I didn't net the pond over the winter.

Once 99% of the water was removed I pressure washed the sides/bottom gently and vacuumed that out, pulled off the pressure ring and spent at least an hour wiping down the joint between the line and the drain with acetone to remove all the polyurethane then applied the 2-part epoxy we use to waterproof seals between cable jackets and heat shrink boots at work and put the pressure ring back on. It looks great and I'm going to leave it to cure well past the 24-hr at RT required.

My pond is now completely empty except for a towel I left down there. So why on earth did the frogs jump in??

Good morning Cafe! I brought some coffee!

It's been crazy hectic around here. I am flying across the pond tomorrow for a conference in O Grove! Get to see my sister in London for 24 hours (it's been a year and a half now since the last visit, so that will be lovely).
That's some carbon footprint.
