Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Nice a cool this morning at 57. Can't wait to take the dogs out in cooler temperatures!

My future housemate, C, came over yesterday to help me get the shower assembly in my shower installed, went shopping with me, learned the basics of how to feed the dogs and went out with me when I released Kylie from the ward and cleaned the coop. He really likes it here and can't wait to help out with the animals. He learned a lot about chicken behavior just standing in the coop while I cleaned and talked to him about what the birds were doing. He liked feeding them their raisins too! It will be nice to have him live here for a while.

Sounds like this arrangement will work well for you! I’m glad for that.

Fixed my 'fix' from yesterday....couldn't get screw in good due to angle of ramp...and back and glute was cramping so called it good enough.
Pre-sleep musings last night lit the bulb that said "Idiot, ramp is on a hinge, the hinge you were driving screws thru!!".
So this morning I lifted the ramp and ran that screw all the way in tight. SMH.
Didn't fix my cramped glute tho

2 nest messes over 3 days, thinks 1 of the 4 brahmas are laying weak eggs....and maybe always has been a less than stellar layer, wish I knew which one. Really hope it's not an egg eating scenario. Glad I have vinyl liners in nests, makes it pretty damn easy to clean and no raw egg saturated wood.

It's pouring rain here. Local state of emergency in Halifax. Lots of folks stranded and have lost their vehicles. I'm safe on a hill, but feel sorry for all the others...

It’s a beautiful morning here at Soldotna, AK! Because it will be crowded later today, we got up at ! o’clock to go fishing. The run hasn’t started yet, so it’s slow.

We’re about 75 miles from Alaskan. Four years ago when we were up, we met up and had a great visit.
