BYC Café

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! It is 38F out there again .
I think the dogs will have a great time and you too, DL . I hope there can be progress with DH's care.
Any word on Orca? I am hoping with all my heart that things are just infrastructure issues.
I have 2 more days of nice weather to get the trees down that I want to get down and then rain and coolness arrive for a few days.
Make the most of it out there, Cafe! Hugs!

I have not. My focus is always on him.
@DobieLover I am sorry if I implied for you to take your focus off him. I was leaning more towards when you are going in or coming out of the building or trying to talk to the staff.
@Sally PB With the electrical bill being like that it's not to bad seeing how the stove and dryer is also electric and it goes up higher in the winter months (especially in Dec when I do a LOT of baking for Christmas and NOT able to hang laundry outside to dry).

I had to replace my screen already, and this one doesn't work along the top1/4" of the screen. So i have to tlit the phone to get the controls where i can use them all the time. Pia.
Sounds like a shoddy job that should be redone at no cost to you.

My new goat buck. Hopefully he will keep growing for a while. He is quite small.View attachment 3629883
Ah, I see the large decrease in animals plan is being implemented :gig

Even with all I have to do before I leave for vacation
Where are you going Tonya? Back to the horseshoe crab beach?

$200/month would be an adjustment for me.
$1 would be an adjustment for me!!!! But the guys are coming Monday morning at 7  to install 2 compressors and heat exchangers in the 2 hot air furnaces - one propane, one fuel oil. I suspect we'll be seeing a charge on the electric bill that isn't negative or covered by summer excess solar production. Doesn't help that the company keeps adding/increasing "fees" unrelated to usage.

DW will be 65 in 3.5 years and can retire (and importantly be medicare eligible) so there will be a 20-30 kWh daily drop when she isn't driving 70 miles 7 days a week (6 to work, 1 to visit her parents).

The beach house in DE is a spring time vacation site. I decided not to go this spring with all I've had to go through.

I'm flying with Piper out west. I start in Denver CO and stay with a friend there for a few days then drive through WY with an overnight in Casper at a VRBO place. Then we will explore as much of Grand Teton National Park as I can on the way to Idaho Park and my next VRBO spot. Then about 4 days exploring Yellowstone then up to stay with @Meg-in-MT for a few days! Then we fly out of Bozeman. About 2 weeks total.
Meg just had one wild child visit her so she's been conditioned for Piper's arrival! Chickie and Nahla will have their paws full with her.

The dog is now with M&S. They stopped at Whitney Point Reservoir to take him for a walk on the way home. The former owner said he was itchy and their vet said he was allergic to chicken. He's being fed Purina One. :sick
During the walk, S said "I see something on him". He has fleas! WTH? So they are stopping at a dog wash place on the way home and will treat him as soon as he gets home.
They are putting him on the same raw diet I feed Bella and Piper so I will sell them some of my stock to get them going then pick up a batch for them when I go to Candor Monday for Piper's health certificate that she needs to fly in the cabin with me.
