After seeing the river yesterday I suspected she crested higher than the original prediction of 19.1'. She did. There were several areas of flooded roads.

Piper is the alarm system that keeps getting set off and you have to apologize when the security company calls and you have to keep telling them that you forgot to deactivate the system before opening the window...

The thing that always got me when the dogs went off, was telling them to STFU so I could hear what was going on. Only one would obey.

Good morning, all thanks for the coffee on this chilly hump day. I have a semi formal dinner tonight in Cary tonight for my office. Yeah. It was months ago.

We kept in touch sporadically by text. There would be times when I'd hear from her daily/weekly. And then not for a couple months. She lived out in Arizona, had remarried. I didn't want to become "a problem," so I mostly let her initiate contact, though I sent "thinking of you" texts.

Well, dang. I was wondering why I hadn't gotten a Christmas card from my step-mom. Yeah, she passed away, and no one let me know. She was the last of my elders.

I have 5 four legged alarm systems and when 1 gets in the window (doesn't matter if it's a person walking past, a squirrel running across the road or another wildlife they sound the alarm) they all find a window (DAMN hard to keep glass clean) and sound the alarm. I'm just glad I don't have a regular security system that would call me about why the system is going off. I end up telling them to STFU also but it doesn't work
