Gray and rainy but still 'warm'(above freezing).
Still waiting for that egg......looked at last winter records, had eggs again starting late December/early January, so should be soon.
Probably right after I buy 2 dozen at store here tomorrow.

Good Morning! Sunny and cold here. I gotta go over and look at some trees to take down or cut up when they are down, not sure yet what the plan truely is. Anyone get eyes on the truck that ran me over.....? LOL!

Warm at 44 and MUDDY...... I hate mud.

I actually have 3 hens laying. I had 2 brown eggs yesterday.
I have delayed tending the flock this morning as I'm pretty sure Wren will be dead. She was in really bad shape yesterday and wouldn't roost last night.

Good Morning, Cafe’!
Up earlier than I have been during my whole Christmas break. I need to 1) Get ready to leave for an appointment an hour away, and 2) Recalibrate my sleep/wake cycle so my body doesn’t go into complete shock when I go back to school next week.

It’s 24 and clear right now. Predicted high of 41 today.

My chickens are beginning to ramp up their laying as well. We’ve gone from 7-8 eggs a day to 11 earlier this week, and 15 yesterday. More red combs are starting to show up.
