This is a red spotted purple butterfly. I see them when I hike the dogs through the forest from time to time and love them.

Butterfly tattoos symbolize transformation, change and personal growth. Blue butterflies symbolize peace and tranquility.
I had it put on the back of my shoulder to symbolize it's emergence from the weight that was constantly being put there for me to bear that didn't crush me but changed me in profound ways. I survived it and I'm getting stronger from it.

I went for the consult a couple of weeks ago and the tattoo appointment got scheduled on 2/2 at 2:00. How fortuitous!

That's beautiful! I love the symbolism behind it too.

I started falling apart early in my life and I will always think positive about living.

I am now 78 to turn 79 in a few weeks.

I want to see 100 before I bite the dust.

My Grandpa lived to be 102. He drank as much as possible and chased women. His wife died at 43. I never got to meet her. My Mom said I am a lot like her.

The person who did it is very talented.

I went to Syracuse to get it done.
I wanted to go to a bigger city and picked an artist who did natural work too. She is one of the highest rated artists there.
She heard my whole story about why I wanted it and the meaning behind it and was very supportive and shared other clients similar stories. She said she loves doing works like this. I really like her.

I have to agree with you Syracuse does have some great tattoo artists.
AFTERNOON ALL! I'm finally able to take a breath and no the busy week had nothing to do with wedding stuff.

I like these days in the 30's with bright sun after nights in the low 20s. I can run the dogs early before the thaw so they don't get muddy but the sun is still blazing.
