BYC Café

Went to a craft fair today. A metal worker with cut out signs was there. One said, "Beware of my dog. He's an asshole." We laughed and decided that if Maggie was still alive we would have had him craft one for us.
If the sign read 'she' I'd have had you get it for me!

Bridget, my little red C&D Dobie, wore a prong collar. It was the only tool that stopped her pulling.
I had her at a horse show I went to watch and a lady kept looking at her as if she was going to kill her.
She finally asked, "oh, is she mean?"
I answered "no, she's just an asshole."

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Don't lecture me...

I'm sore as hell because I spent the entire day outside yesterday working on mulching and I got it all done... and loved every minute of it. It made me feel alive and happy. I was humming and smiling. And I saw MY butterfly. Here. I've only seen one in the forest where I hike the dogs. It was a sign. So what if I'm sore now. I'll take it easy today to recuperate.

Good afternoon, Café!

A freshly brewed pot is on the counter, help yourselves to it.

Just a moment ago the rain stopped and a few rays of sunshine are coming through.

Would be nice if it wasn't for the enormous amounts of very hungry vampires/all kinds of biting and blood sucking flies trying to suck every drop of blood that might be left in a person.

We really need more arms like the Indian goddess to fend them off and get some work done.

But we are still lucky here as in other parts of the country the enormous amounts of rain have caused severe flooding with people having to leave their homes as a dam broke. Several missing, a firefighter declared death. And it just does not stop.

Glad you are feeling better today @pennyJo1960 . Maybe see a doctor to make sure nothing is broken?

Geooooorge......
Nonononooooo! Definitely no! 🚫

I already paid my dues this year: Eleven healthy and rambunctious youngsters running about with some of them already crowing.
No need for more as I am still in the process of downsizing my flocks.

Although their momma just decided to go and start again. But she is housed in the aviary now ticking wildly like all the others in there.
Ahh, that is something I hadn't thought about.
I did run my hand underneath looking for blood smears.
What did you gind so far? Also lift the roost and have a close look at the nooks. I once found them hidden in a screwhole after disassembling the whole construction.

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!
