I think Widget is "partially broody." She's been in the nest the last two nights at lock up. I take her out and put her on the roost. I see her out and about a bit in the morning, but come mid afternoon, when I do chickie snack, she's back in the nest.

I tossed her out and closed off that nest box. I really don't want to crate her if I don't have to. She's been doing this off and on since I broke her broodiness a few weeks ago.

She never totally stopped making her bup-bup-bup noise. She doesn't do it all the time, like she did when she was hard core; it's more a "flavoring sound" that she makes every now and then.

This is what Astrid is doing after 4 days in the clink. So I've been dunking her in a cool water bath if I find her in a nest box. She roosted tonight and I saw her out and about with the flock during the day. But I also heard her talkin' the talk then I saw her walkin' the walk.

Jody just got a dunk and put on the roost for the night. Little sh!t.

DUNK her!! Every stinkin' time you find her in the nest box. (Boy, wouldn't it be embarrassing if she was in there to lay an egg?)

Coffee is ready.
I'm on my way to the vet with Piper.
I didn't know why this suddenly happened. She was zooming the trails with Bella yesterday. I had caught her eating string algae that I threw into the lawn after pulling from the pond. I can't see that causing this.
