'Morning all.
I have been taking everyone's wonderful advice and trying to keep busy. I managed to secure some extra hours on our farm - preg testing the heifers. As it turns out, 75% of them got pregnant first time around. The irony is not lost on me - proof positive, once again, that God really does have a sense of humour!
I am trying not to feel glum and am instead trying to redirect my feelings towards anger - an emotion I am much more comfortable with! (I may have lost my one and only egg, but dang it I will not lose my sense of humour!) I am eating and sleeping well, and generally just taking a little time to be by myself and gear up for (hopefully) another round. I will hear from the clinic on Monday as to how we will proceed from here - if at all.
My son discovered that you could get far more range if you peed off of the tree house...that is in our
front yard.
I must say, this gave me a good giggle this morning! I remember we had a family dinner once at a popular local restaurant. They had a playground out the back to keep the kids entertained, which was in full view of all the diners inside. My nephew chose the middle of dessert time to pee off the top of the slide, onto the ground below. It splashed back onto the dining room windows as we ate. They can make you so proud......
Jan, they grow up entirely too fast. The plus is that sometimes they generate grand children that you can indulge and have fun with - for far less responsibility. My grandchildren will have vivid memories of me.
And this is how Grandparents
should be! My Grandma could not speak English, but you had better believe when she waved at us we came running! She was always sneaking us treats and trying to feed us up! It is the Polish way after all - if you're not eating you must be sick!
After 11 years, I gave up. I went back for another degree and spent all the money we saved for our kids...and then- proof that God has a sense of humor- I got pregnant.
Clean up your diet as best as you can. Avoid processed foods and sugars, I stayed away from wheat like it was poison. I was hoping to improve my thought process, so I cleaned up my diet, That is what did it for me.
Thank you for sharing
This gives me hope that it
can be done. Interesting about the wheat too. Money? What money?! Every cent I have is going into this baby-making caper! Honestly, good thing that hubby and I don't have expensive tastes. We have no cash behind us, we don't own a home....hmmm, come to think of it, can we afford a kid?! Just kidding, we would manage of course. There is much more to life than being able to have the latest and greatest of everything. Plus, I think if you work to earn something you have a greater appreciation for it anyway.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
