I remember went my husband and I had a stopover in Florida when we were flying to Jamaica for our honeymoon. We decided to step outside the airport for "some fresh air". This was April 25th mind you. We stepped through the airport doors, Florida smacked us in the face and said get back in there you west coast whimps! Holy mackerel! Was that AIR out there?!? I don't know how you guys do it!!

Some new friends moved here from New Mexico. I thought they would have had no problem with the heat, but when the boy walked out of the air conditioning into the fla air he yelled, "It's like LAVA! I can't live here!"

i have been pressure washing green and mold off of everything all week, so I think it was some well deserved whining.

It's the humidity more than the heat. I moved from KS to FL thinking I knew about humidity. No, I did not. Moved to FL in August, about 450 miles further south than where I am now and I thought I was melting. I found out you can sweat places you didn't even know you could.

When we were in CO in January to empty my mom's house I could not get over how dry it was. Skin was cracking and hurting the whole time. As soon as we drove home across the FL state line the air felt so good...there was moisture in the air and my skin felt instantly better.

It's all in what you're used to for sure!
