OFW   What a nice family photo (hillbillies)  honestly you guys look nice.   When we have photos like that(or any photo)  I look like a fat slob with eyes closed and ghostly pallor  When I am up close to the mirror, I don't look have as bad.  I think they just shoot me from "ughly cameras."      Elaine on Seinfeld knew clothing stores     had "skinny mirrors," you  look great then take it home and have a fit.

Oh I hate 90% of my pictures too. I have the most awful fake smile (truely it is the family joke, and thing 1 inherited it). I have to think of something funny, make myself laugh a bit, otherwise the picture bound for the trash. It also helps if the picture is taken at higher angle then you, so you are looking slightly up, not down (a teenager gave me a selfie tip, it does help)

The trick to getting a good photo? Be the person holding the camera! Works for me most every time

Do you do the duck lips too?

I hate more like 99% of pictures of me :D the 1% left would be ones that exclude my face :p

Oh I completely understand that, however (sorry for the guilt trip) My DH lost his mother's about 6 years ago, she hated having her picture taken too. So now that leaves my DH and his sister with just a few, very precious photos. So even though I hate looking at them I try my best to smile nice and let them snap away...

That is sweet actually.
While I was pregnant, I didn't want my picture taken. Now I wish I had more. Looked like I swallowed a basketball. :D

I loved being pregnant but, because I was the only one who would use the camera - have no photos. It's still that way so almost no photos of me (worth keeping). My high school yearbook photo was fantastic and I even did look that way (once) but since my face looks like a road map. I honestly wonder how my son can stand to look at me - no joke. I am so ashamed of how I just went to crap as I have aged.

The seniors on the bus have never seen me when I was young, so I don't feel bad about looking grubby around them. They don't look much better.

Diva. I feel the same way about me. I am not homely, but not pretty.
But I also would bet that your son is proud of you and adores you -and like my son feels about me, your son believes you are beautiful.
Love sees deeper than the mirror.
We reared up decent children, who love people for what matters.
The ones that end up with our boys will be lucky people.

Okay now you guys got to stop that.
We all grow old and our looks go away.
Just the way it is. We tend to be harder on ourselves than anyone else.
Beauty has nothing to do with looks anyway especially as we get older.
Heck from here you all look beautiful.

You know how women are Phil. This would not be the bragging group anyway. We're the down home, tell it like it is group.

But I do know my son loves me and his girlfriend is one lucky gal! I will brag about doing that right!
