The people at the Humane Society didn't know anything about them. They got dropped in their overnight box. She's pretty freaked out right now. Understandably, she's been through a lot the last few days!

That's sad, but I guess that was better than some alternatives. And hopefully she turns out to be a great girl for you!

So it wasn't food poisoning :( Thing 2 is now quiet under the weather. Giving lots of pedialite, 7 up, and TLC. I have done laundry every day and I am still running out of clothes to wear....

So sorry. I remember the exhaustion of being sick and having a sick child to care for...

Oh my! So sorry to hear that! Praying this passes fast. Kids are amazing how quickly they can get through sickness.

Thank you, and I know your right. It is just so hard to except that she is hurting and I cannot just offer a kiss and a bandaid and make it all better this time. Hopefully I can get her to go to sleep soon.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I have enough problems with strays here. Without a friend helping out with that early morning (or late night) phone call about this poor critter that has my name all over it.
We had/have several rumpless (Aracauna) type birds over the years and YES they do lay blue eggs.

See this site for more info http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html

I hope that this helps you out a bit.
Enjoy the chicken!
