BYC Café

Hi Scott

It's been nice and sunny, breezy and very dry. Red flag warning for tomorrow, with high winds and almost no humidity. As long as no fires start anywhere, it's good. Will get colder for a day or two, then should be nice at the end of the week. Winds come back Sunday. Typical NM spring weather.

Good morning all,

Still recovering from the Wisconsin game....

The list isn't too long today, but I do have a meeting in town, for which I am bring dessert; a lovely pound cake with a ricotta and blueberry sauce!
Once I get home I'll be working on the cookies I'm sending down to Milwaukee for the kids...

Other than that, sun is shining and the temperatures are normal, which is chilly. I have a dog laying on the end of the couch staring longingly at the empty fireplace.

Good morning, all. I'm in recovery mode from attending a field trial yesterday. Apparently I am more out of shape than I thought I was. East coast snow storm missed us - that's a good thing.

Phil, good luck on those steelheads.

That was an exciting game.

How do you think they will do against ND?

Scott, through my mother I was blessed with some 'pretty good genes'. She lived to be 97 and two of her sisters lived into their early 100's - all mentally sharp (I've already lost that) and in relatively good physical condition. I am generally working dogs anywhere from 2 to 6 + hours daily and have started running again after a winter 'lay up' because of a bad back. I refuse to die sitting in a chair watching TV.

Sure sounds like good genes to me.

Would love to see some pics of your dogs sometime.

At 65, I am still doing my own critter chores to include moving the feed back to the hen houses one bag at a time. (use it or lose it)
Although I did get a small tractor with an front end loader for moving the horses round bales and poop-scooping it up after they are done with it.
I never did like to run much, but my Caddy sure does.

Enjoy the day!
