I've had more than my share of messes, but I don't know that I've ever gotten two-cycle fuel in my hair. . . . .

I've heard Coke suggested for getting it out of clothing. I like Fast Orange for getting the smell off my hands, but not sure about hair - I'd be afraid that stuff might fry your hair.

Good ol' sunshine and fresh air has always been good for getting that sort of thing out of jackets and jeans . . . .

Just some thoughts.:idunno

stick with the mayo method.......please......lol

seriously, wonder if the same method to remove skunk odor would work?

I thought about that, but I think gas is slightly acidic right? So tomatoes wouldn't neutralize. Baking soda?

I do not know, I think both are oil based.. the smell in skunk is..? Protein? I just do not know,
I almost doused it with hydrogen peroxide , but I could never pull off being a blond.

The thought of a match occurred to me at one point and I was

"Get it together woman!"
Sunshine was my next thought, to just let it volatilize off.
mayo!!!

gallon of mayo........a few boiled eggs......salt, pepper.......perfect!!

I wouldn't have to smell the fumes that way, because I would be running away from the dogs so fast the whiffys would be behind me!

Don't suppose Febreeze would work on your hair or maybe it would - keep it out of eyes, nose, ears, mouth
I thought of that as well.
It was sitting next to my hair brush, But I figured since I have to go get my teeth cleaned today, I would avoid doing something regrettable before I ventured out into the public.
