Well that is kinda gross about the egg farm. If the dude was working undercover, he may have left the bodies for effects..., I agree.
Who knows.
The sheep get haircuts tomorrow. They will feel so much better. Hard to believe that 32 days ago it was 8 degrees and snowing...

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking too, which would be unfortunate. And even more unfortunate is that now if they were shady, they'll probably clean it up before the inspection so we may never know.

That's good about the sheep! It's been weird weather here too. One week it's cool then hot now it stormed for a few minutes ha when I used to horseback ride it was great day when they clipped the horses. It's amazing how long and gross the fur gets. My dog has been shedding like crazy too and we just brushed him last week and took a TON of fur out. He needs to be brushed again though. I know he feels better though and he looks skinner lol we need to shave the cat. She has some matts and a lot of undercoat and doesn't let me brush her :/

Anyone hear about the New England egg farm? Supposedly it's under investigation but to me it looks like, sadly, normal factory farm conditions.. but supposedly there were dead birds and some other accusations I forget but the humane society filmed the video and they're a big scam and supposedly the guy only worked there a month and was fired cause he didn't follow policy (he was undercover and supposedly their policy is to remove carcasses within 24 hours. I buy it, he probably left them for the purposes of staging the video). It's the biggest egg organization in New England. This isn't about factory farms themselves since I think we can all agree most are pretty terrible but whether you think these accusations are real or fair or staged or what. But supposedly the brothers that own it have also been arrested before/have unrelated charges so maybe their organization is shady. Idk.

Hmm.....haven't heard of it, I'll go look it up. I agree, sounds shady.

First I have hear of it. I am torn, I truly dislike factory farms, but I do not trust the humane society at all. They fall in the same category as PETA and all those other nuts. I do not like to see abused animal either, agree something should be done, but they jump straight from reasonable into insane pretty quickly. I personally believe it is an ongoing theme in our society, good ideas turned to bad ones due to overzealous people (or as I like to call them Koolaid drinkers). The organic movement is no different

star clusters.

 Oops, they are called  crunch.

Scott and Bert, I see you are up early. Dogs were up at 5:30. A couple of jakes in the side yard gobbling...

Just heard that Hostess is recalling 700,000 snack cakes due to possible cross contamination with peanuts. Better get your Suzy-Q's now. And the little Debbie Star Crunch is crispy rice, caramel and chocolate. They are pretty tasty.

More planting today, eight whiskey barrels for our little downtown area. And the township meeting tonight. I think I'm taking tomorrow off!

Peanuts don't bother me I'll take them all.....you guys were chatty no way I can catch up.....
