BYC Café

Good Morning WVC,

The one of the main reasons that I took a job in central NC was to avoid a winter in the upper Mid-West after just working the winter in Caribou Maine.
I'm not a fan of the cold myself, I just know how to deal with it.

Rule # 1 Stay dry, #2 stay warm

Yes the heated water bed is still calling my name.

Good Morning Bunny,

I like that idea, just have to get the coffee strong enough.
I agree, Margie is dealing with major cold.
Scott
bud, she is dealing with pee freezing before it hits the ground cold...........

Good morning! Cookie baking has been all consuming, but I'm in the home stretch...

Hot coffee is a necessity today, it is cold. I don't think it even got into the double digits yesterday, and it's not going to be any warmer today. Neither of the dogs were interested in staying outside longer than absolutely necessary!

We are going through at minimum 100 pounds of corn a week now. We are up to 50-60 turkeys and seven deer. The turkeys are a riot to watch! Plus, I think there is an owl too. Some bird flew out of the tree behind the house when I came home last night. Couldn't see it, but it was big.

Have a great day everybody! Stay warm!

Morning! Y'all can rest easy, I'm not going to be peeing outside anytime soon..... more hot coffee, please...
Late night, got home near 11:30. Someone tried to cut our vehicle off and missed, so it was a long wait for the state patrol and such. Nothing major on the cars, not my personal car and I was not driving, the other vehicle's driver was driving on a suspended license. Just general stupidity all around, but DS$ had to pee outside in the canyon when we got rolling again. I am letting him sleep in some and then off to school for a couple of finals. It is snowing but warm, 14 degrees. Psych!

It just seems to be cold most everywhere. I read this lovely forecast when I was checking out the snow totals and I think some diesel additive is in order to make sure my truck stays happy. Good thing I live in the mountains where it is warm.

IN FACT SATURDAY`S HIGH
TEMPERATURES OVER THE PLAINS COULD BE 30-40 DEGREES BELOW
SEASONAL NORMALS AND PERHAPS NEW RECORD LOWS COULD BE ESTABLISHED
FOR THE 17TH.
